One Hour of Yoga at 4:00pm

One Hour of Meditation (Yoga Nidra) at 5:00pm

When entering Yoga Nidra, the state of conscious Deep Sleep, awareness of body and breath have been left behind. Attention has moved much further inward from awareness of any aspect of the physical body, any awareness of breath, and any imagery of mind. This is a sequential process of moving inward: first the body, then the breath, then the mind, and then the emptying into Yoga Nidra, conscious Deep Sleep.

This is a guided meditation, which includes a variety of different methods to achieve Yoga Nidra. We have listed some methods that we use at Inspirit.

The 61-Points Exercise – Systematically guides your attention through 61-Points of the body, which are arranged in a simple pattern. They begin at the forehead, travel down and up your right arm, then across to your left arm, down to your torso, down and up your right legs, then back up your torso to the forehead.

Elongated Spinal Breath –  The Spinal Breath is a Conscious Breathing technique with the focus on the spine. In essence you want to lay still, relax, breathe deeper than normal and visualize the subtle breath going up and down your spine in coordination with your breathing.

Chakra Awareness – Guiding you through your 7 main energy centers in the body, known as chakras. Starting at your Root chakra located at the base of the spine and ending at your Crown chakra located just above your head.  As you breathe; with your concentration on each chakra; you invite your breath to move through it as though it was a porthole for awakening energy to expand and open. It’s important to stay focused on each chakra, so you can place your hands in the area to bring about a physical awareness to concentrate on.

Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls Meditation (Sound Healing) –  The crystal singing bowls are used as a tool in meditation as the vibratory tone is on the same wave length that your brain produces when it is in a calm and relaxed state. Each bowl is attuned differently in accordance with each chakra.
