Prior to my YTT training, I’d practiced yoga off and on for 5 years and knew that this was something I was passionate about. After ending a long-term relationship, I found that I had more time to explore my interest in yoga. I thought it would be great to learn how to teach and share this amazing practice with others. That’s when I came across Inspirit’s YTT program. After visiting the studio and meeting with Raven, I knew that this was where in needed to be for my journey. I felt inspired to eventually open a studio of my own so that I can share the healing an inspiration that yoga can provide to others.
I’d have to say that my favorite part was meeting and bonding with the ladies who were in my class. I now have life long friendships with people who share the same passions and ideals as myself. The class was full of beautiful souls from different walks of life who were open to this life changing and spiritual journey. I also learned so much about myself in the process. I learned how to be more open with my heart and tap into my own personal gifts.
I loved everything! The asanas, the mantras, Ayurveda, Energy work, I was I loved everything! The asanas, the mantras, Ayurveda, Energy work, I was soaking it all in! I really wasn’t expecting to learn so much about the spiritual aspect of yoga but I’m so glad I did. For someone who was more focused on the physical practice, this was enlightening.
My personal and most valuable take away was how this experience gave me the ability to keep my heart open and stay true to myself. It taught me to search from within and gave me strength and wisdom. It was really unexpected because I just wanted to learn how to teach yoga! But, no sooner did I realized that this practice means so much more than the physical sequence. For that, I’m so grateful.
I look forward to growing and learning more about how to share my practice more effectively with others. To find ways to help others start or find there way back to their own journey in their practice. And to learn how to do a handstand! 😊 I love inversions.
It allowed me to tune into to all the layers that yoga has to offer. For me it was always a moving mediation. Clearing my mind because I strived to push through. ( Power yoga is my passion ) Now I feel like I have a more well rounded practice. One that offers me more of the things I need, which I didn’t know I needed, mind, body and soul.
I discovered that I can offer a lot of comfort and stability to others. During our energy work, I found that I have a very grounding spirit to those around me and that I am an empath. This is something that I wanted to explore more about myself and find out how I can use it to help others.
After graduation I started teaching at gym and in the park. My future goal is to have a studio and make this my lifestyle and my livelihood. I am always grateful to share my practice with others. If you do what you love, it doesn’t feel like work.
Do it! Keep an open mind and an open heart in the process. You’ll be very glad you did. I can be sure that you will receive more than you expect to. It’s a memorable experience and it’s life changing! If that’s something you want for yourself. Do it! Namaste.
For the 5 years I practiced yoga, it was hot power yoga. I’m the type of person that finds strength and challenges exciting. I always push myself to be better and do better and that’s what I always got from my practice. My YTT training gave me the missing piece that I needed to make my practice more
