Usui Reiki Ryōhō is a Japanese spiritual practice and healing technique that makes use of Reiki, meaning “soul energy.” Reiki is a simple and easy-to-learn technique that nourishes body, mind, and soul of practitioner and client alike. It is traditionally offered via laying-on-of-hands and often has profound results. Students receive an initiations (sometimes called attunements) to become Reiki practitioners.

Shoden is the traditional name for the first-degree Reiki training. The first degree of Reiki focuses on physical healing of the self and of others, developing energetic sensitivity, and learning the history and theory of Reiki. Shoden training includes:
● Introduction and explanation of Reiki, both the energy and the healing system
● Reiki history
● Discussion of the Five Precepts
● The Japanese Reiki techniques
● How Reiki heals
● Providing effective treatments
● Reiki meditation
● Additional tools and practices for healing

Students receive:

● Supplemental handouts
● Instruction in the Japanese Reiki Techniques

Usui Reiki Ryoho Okuden (Reiki II)

Usui Reiki Ryōhō is a Japanese spiritual practice and healing technique that makes use of Reiki, meaning “soul energy.” Reiki is a simple and easy-to-learn technique that nourishes body, mind, and soul of practitioner and client alike. It is traditionally offered via laying-on-of-hands and often has profound results.

The second level of Reiki expands its applications by introducing three sacred symbols to practitioners’ toolkit. Second-degree training also includes techniques for amplifying hands-on practice, mental-emotional healing, and absentee healing. Students are guided through a deeper understanding of Reiki practice with even more of the original Japanese techniques and will learn the history and context of the original symbols of the system of Reiki. Okuden training includes:
● Brief review of shoden concepts
● In-depth presentation on three symbols, including history, origins, functions, and uses
● Treatment for intensifying flow of Reiki
● Treatment for psychological (mental-emotional) conditions
● Treatment for healing bad habits
● Absentee treatment
● Techniques for empowering goals and affirmations
● More Japanese Reiki Techniques
● Space clearing
● Treatment styles and protocols
● Additional techniques for healing and self-development

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Nicholas Pearson is a lifelong student of the healing arts, and he has been a Reiki practitioner since 2006. Nicholas began his Reiki journey as a college student, and Reiki has helped him cultivate greater peace and healing ever since. Nicholas has been trained in several styles of Reiki, including Usui Reiki Ryoho, Usui Shiki Ryoho, Usui/Tibetan Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, and Jikiden Reiki. His teaching style aims to reclaim the early practices of the Reiki system and inspire practitioners to deepen their connection to Reiki as both a healing tool and a spiritual practice. Nicholas is the author of Foundations of Reiki Ryoho: Foundations of Shoden and Okuden, and several books on crystal healing. He lives in Orlando, Florida
