What was your favorite part of this YTT experience? Learning the different facets of yoga and healing from astrology, to Ayurveda, to aromatherapy it has been life changing.
What was the most valuable lesson learned? How important it is to show up for yourself even on your worst days even when you don’t feel like it. There were days I would come to class not feeling like myself and the class gave me exactly what I needed.
What are you looking forward to learning more about? Ayurveda and the different styles of yoga.
Did this YTT shift your perspective in a positive way and in what way? Yes, this YTT helped me get out my head and into my body. I learned that yoga is a mindset and it’s not just about the asanas and the physical practice it’s about connecting to yourself and seeing the creative solutions and pure potentiality in all of your life situations. YTT gave me the clarity to use my practice as a way to shift my thinking and pour more into myself and my goals.
Do you plan on teaching classes now and where would you ideally like to teach, what level, & what demographic? Yes I plan to teach and would love to teach all levels primarily looking to teach in underserved communities and find a way to make yoga accessible for all.
What is your advice for anyone wanting to do this training? Come ready to unlearn what you think you know about the practice and ready to tap into all the knowledge and wisdom of yoga. Be open, be vulnerable, and be ready for your life to change in the most abundant of ways. Also this program will require a level of discipline so be ready to give it your all even if that looks different each week. Keep showing up.
